Mini split cleaning that clears the buildup inside

Mansfield Services is a family-owned company based in Underhill, serving Chittenden County and parts of Lamoille and Franklin Counties. Mini split cleaning — also called ductless or heat pump cleaning — goes after the mold, dust, and grime that collect deep inside the heads. That buildup is dark, damp, and out of sight, so it grows mold and mildew and blows dust and allergens right back into the room. We deep-clean the parts a filter rinse can't reach.

  • Coils and blower wheel deep-cleaned
  • Mold, mildew, and musty odor cleared out
  • Boot covers worn inside your home

Simple From Start to Finish

How it works

1

Tell us how many heads

Pricing is per head, and it goes down the more heads we clean in a visit — so just let us know how many you have and we'll give you exact pricing up front. No guessing, no surprises.

2

We deep-clean each head

We open up each head and clean the coils, blower wheel, filters, and housing with a detergent-and-rinse setup that catches the runoff, so the mold and grime come out and the mess stays contained.

3

Breathe cleaner air

Your heads run cleaner and quieter, the musty smell is gone, and the air coming out is fresher. A cleaner home is a good feeling.

What's Included

A real deep-clean of every head

Rinsing the filter only touches the surface. The mold and grime live deeper, in the parts you can't easily reach. Tap an option to see exactly what we do.

While We're There

When was your dryer vent last cleaned?

Since we're already in your home for the mini splits, it's a great time to look after your dryer vent, too. Lint packs into the vent line where you can't see it — trapping heat and adding fire risk. We clear the whole run so your dryer runs cooler and safer.

The Buildup You Can't See

Musty smell? It's what's growing inside.

The inside of a mini split head is dark and damp — a perfect spot for mold and mildew to grow on the coils and blower wheel. Left alone, it blows dust, allergens, and that musty smell right back into your room. We clean it out at the source.

Good to Know

Mini split cleaning FAQs

Is a mini split the same as a heat pump or ductless system?

They're all names for the same kind of setup. A ductless mini split is a heat pump system with one or more indoor "heads" mounted on the wall, instead of ductwork. People say mini split, ductless, or heat pump — and the indoor units are sometimes called heads or cassettes. Whatever you call yours, we clean it.

Why does my mini split smell musty?

The inside of a head stays dark and damp, so mold and mildew grow on the coils and blower wheel. That's what you're smelling — and running the unit blows it, along with dust and allergens, back into the room. A deep clean removes the buildup and clears the odor at the source.

Isn't rinsing the filters enough?

Rinsing the filters helps, but it only reaches the surface. The mold, grime, and dust that cause odor and weak airflow build up deeper — on the coils and inside the blower wheel — where it takes the right tools and a proper detergent-and-rinse clean to get them out.

Do you clean the blower wheel?

Yes. The blower wheel (the squirrel cage behind the louvers) is one of the dirtiest parts of the whole unit and one of the hardest to reach. Cleaning it out is a key part of every visit — it's where a lot of the grime and mold hides.

How often should a mini split be cleaned?

About once a year for most homes. If you have pets, run your heads a lot, or have noticed a musty smell or weaker airflow, you may benefit from cleaning more often. We'll give you an honest recommendation for your setup.

How much does mini split cleaning cost?

It's priced per head, and the price per head goes down the more heads we clean in one visit. Just tell us how many you have and we'll give you exact pricing up front — no surprises.
