How often should gutters be cleaned?

Do I need gutter guards or screens?
Gutter guards can cut down on how much debris builds up, and we’re happy to walk you through the pros and cons. We won’t sell them as a “one and done” fix, because they aren’t — guarded gutters still need maintenance, just far less than uncovered ones. Can you remind me when it’s time?
Yes. We automatically schedule many of our customers for spring and fall — or once-a-year — cleanings. Once you’re set up, you don’t need to remember a thing, and you don’t even need to be home for the visit.
Is gutter cleaning the same as gutter clearing or a gutter clean-out?
Yes — they’re all names for the same job: removing leaves, needles, and debris from your gutters and downspouts so water can flow freely. Some people also call it a downspout cleaning, since we clear those too.
